1. Our commitment
People who use ctpassist.au may be injured, in pain, tired or stressed, and many use a phone. We want the website to work for everyone, however they use it.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We check the website against that standard and fix problems as we find them.
2. What we've done
We've designed and built the website so that:
- every page and form can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline
- pages use proper headings, labels and landmarks, so screen readers can find their way around
- every form field has a visible label, and errors are explained in words, not by colour alone
- text and buttons have strong colour contrast, and tap targets are a comfortable size
- pages work on screens as narrow as 320 pixels and when zoomed to 200%, without sideways scrolling
- if your device is set to reduce motion, animations are switched off
- our forms have no CAPTCHA and no time limit, and your claim form answers are saved on your device, so you can take a break and come back
- the writing is plain English, with short sentences
3. Known limits
We're still improving, and some things are outside our control:
- We link to other websites, such as Service NSW and the insurers. Their pages, and documents such as the claim form (a PDF), aren't ours, and they may not meet the same standard.
- We test with automated tools and by hand, but we may not have caught everything. If something doesn't work for you, please tell us.
4. Other ways to reach us
- Call us on (02) 7238 7379.
- If you're deaf, or find it hard to hear or speak, you can call us through the National Relay Service.
- Email us at info@ctpassist.au.
5. Tell us about a problem
If something on the website is hard to use, email info@ctpassist.au with "Accessibility" in the subject. It helps to tell us:
- the page (its web address or title)
- what you were trying to do and what happened
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use
We usually reply within 1 business day. If the problem is stopping you getting help with your claim, please call us instead, so we can help you over the phone.
If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Australian Human Rights Commission, which handles complaints under the Disability Discrimination Act.
