CTP Assist is an independent service for people hurt in a motor accident in NSW. We help you understand the CTP scheme, get your claim ready and lodged, and we stay with you while the insurer decides.
About
About CTP Assist
Independent help with your NSW CTP claim. We're not the government, an insurer, a law firm or a medical practice.

What we do
We help people injured in a motor accident in NSW with their CTP claim, by phone and online, anywhere in the state.
Understand
We explain the NSW CTP scheme in plain English: what you can claim, who you claim against and the time limits that apply to you.
Prepare
We help you get your claim ready: the right insurer, a Certificate of Fitness from your doctor, the police event number and the claim form.
Lodge
We go through the claim form with you and help get your claim to the insurer.
Stay with you
While the insurer decides, call us about a letter, a date or what happens next, and we'll go through it with you.
When your case needs it, and only if you agree, we introduce you to an independent CTP lawyer, a doctor experienced with CTP claims, or allied health. Many claims never need a lawyer, and we'll tell you if yours doesn't look like it does.
Why we exist
A CTP claim usually comes at a hard time. You're hurt, you may be off work, and there are forms, certificates and time limits to deal with, often in the first few weeks.
We think everyone should have someone to go through it with them, and a choice about who that is.

What you can expect from us
Plain English
No jargon. If we use a scheme term, like threshold injury or Certificate of Fitness, we'll explain it.
No pressure
You decide what happens at every stage, and you can stop whenever you like.
Your choice of provider
You can keep your own GP, treating team or lawyer. If we suggest someone, it's only a suggestion.
Your privacy
We share your details with a provider only if you agree to that specific referral.
No promises we can't keep
Only the insurer decides your claim. We never promise an outcome, an amount or a timeframe.
What we're not
So you always know who you're dealing with.
Not the government
We're independent. We're not a government agency or service, and we're not connected with Service NSW.
Not an insurer
The CTP insurer decides your claim. We're not affiliated with any insurer.
Not a law firm
We don't give legal advice and we don't act for anyone. For advice on your own situation, see an independent lawyer.
Not a medical practice
We don't give medical advice or treatment. Your doctor does that.
We don't make first contact
We only call people who ask us to. We don't cold-call, text or message anyone about an accident.
Keeping information accurate
Our guides explain the NSW CTP rules as we understand them, checked against primary sources, such as the scheme regulator's guidance, Service NSW and the Personal Injury Commission. Each guide shows when it was last checked.
Rules change, so check the current position with the insurer or a lawyer before you rely on it. If you spot something wrong or out of date, email us at info@ctpassist.au and we'll fix it.
